Paul Tham: Advisory Managing Principal

Paul is a seasoned professional in managing partnerships for large multi-national companies. With the experience and knowledge, Paul is an experienced consultant & facilitator with more than 30 years in the IT industry holding various senior positions, from sales and marketing, customer service, business management to partnership management with leading IT multi-national companies. Overall, Paul's extensive business management in Asia Pacific including Japan, Australia and People’s Republic of China working in large US multinational companies including HP, Compaq, Digital Equipment Corporation, Sun Microsystems Inc, Polycom and Oracle Corporation.

Paul is a commercially focused and seasoned professional in developing business and managing partnerships for large multi-national companies with extensive experience in IT and Education sector.

Being a senior management, Paul is a mentor and coach to his team of executives. Paul has successfully mentored and coached senior level staff to groom good executives be better in their roles. Essentially, Paul focus to make them an effective leader. Being a senior management staff, Paul has also received executive coaching to develop his leadership qualities. In recent years, Paul has provided HR consultation to several SMEs in Singapore.

As a strategic result and people-oriented business manager, Paul’s extensive experience range from general business management, leading people to managing partners as well as customers. His track record includes leading the APAC services partner operations that span more than US$100M costs of goods sold using project management skills, building of indirect business from 10% to 50% between 2004 and 2009 through channel strategic business development in new market opportunities, implementing partner enabling ecosystems that facilitate partners to resell / co-deliver services and directing the outsourcing of service delivery to subcontractors by setting target date without operational risk exposures.

Paul’s specialization is in a spectrum of partnership management that included suppliers, subcontractors, vendors, distributors, resell channels, teaming partners and joint ventures with a focus on elevated levels in service delivery to customers. His interest spans across the domain of partner management and related behavioral studies.

Paul is currently CEO of GloApp Human Capital Pte Ltd., and Strategic Advisor to the Executive Chairman, East Asia Institute of Management. Paul is also a faculty of National University of Singapore, School of Computing Strategic Technology Management Institute. Paul graduated from Curtin University, Australia with a Bachelor of Business, Marketing and Finance degree, with distinction. Paul speaks fluent English, Mandarin, Cantonese and Hokkien.
